NENA conducts a bi-annual house tour the first Saturday of December that typically includes five or six historic homes beautifully decorated for Christmas.  This tour is been held every other year since it requires a tremendous amount of work and volunteers.

What sets us apart from other holiday house tours is that homeowners decorate on their own. Other house tours have professional interior designers decorate the homes; we don’t.

When visitors walk through these houses they learn about the history of the home, the architecture, the stories behind the decorations, and anything that the homeowners want to share. It is a unique and festive experience.

However, we need more volunteers to work as docents in the homes. Anyone interested in participating will receive training, which is quite simple, a free ticket to do the tour, and they only have to work two and a half hours with really nice people.
